Google's Android come with an idea of an iMessage-like service for his Android Message app which can use for texting (SMS, MMS) and chat (RCS). The user easily shares manage, message anyone from anywhere with the reliability of texting and the richness of chat. and idea to connect with friends and family by sending group texts, and share your favorite pictures, videos, and audio messages.
Google Inc latest news in tech world which shook the millions Android user who use Google Android platform, Google search engine giant come up with news to adopt a technology which will replace traditional SMS service prevailing in telecom industry from past many decades. This new technology has been named as 'Chat' and it will be based on a standard called the “ Universal Profile for Rich Communication Services". Google implement Chat in the default messaging service on your Smartphone called 'Messages' which allow you chat to send messages, send emojis, stickers, location and off course you can chat to like in Whatsapp.
Currently Apple uses this technology in iMessage, which was a streamlined messaging, service built exclusively for iOS users. Google is tie-ups with carriers around the world to do it for them. To that end, Google has reportedly 'paused' work on its latest messaging app 'Allo' and is now focusing solely on 'Chat'.
What is Chat?
Google 'Chat' will work on a new standard which will replace traditional SMS and will be automatically activated in the current SMS app on Android called Messages. Currently, Android Messages app is supported on devices running Android 5.0 Lollipop and above.
Advantage of ‘Chat’
The advantage to using 'Chat' is that you would be getting many of the same features as you have on an online messaging service like WhatsApp were you can send emojis, stickers, location, video, images and messages. These features include full-resolution images and video, indicator when the other person is typing and read receipts and search through conversation threads to find exactly what you're looking for.
